Davos: Hon’ble Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has proposed hosting a follow up meeting of the World Economic Forum every July in Hyderabad. The proposal received unanimous support from global business leaders and policymakers during the “Join the Rise” event held in Davos.
Pointing out that one year is a very long gap in today’s fast moving business cycles and investment decision making, the Chief Minister suggested that the WEF organise an annual follow up forum either in July or August in Hyderabad. He invited global leaders to join him in making Hyderabad the venue for a July WEF Forum.
Speaking about Telangana’s recent achievements, the Chief Minister said the Telangana Rising Global Summit was highly successful and attracted investments worth over ₹5.75 lakh crore. He noted that while Davos is usually a platform for signing MoUs, this year Telangana came with the confidence of success and focused on presenting its long term vision and investor friendly policies.
Referring to the Telangana Rising Global Summit held at Bharat Future City in December 2025, he said the state has now decided to formally engage with the World Economic Forum on hosting the proposed follow up forum in Hyderabad.
The event highlighted Telangana’s growth framework and vision for 2047. It also saw the launch of the Telangana AI Innovation Hub and the Telangana Next Generation Life Sciences Policy 2026 to 2030.

The high level delegation, which included Ministers Duddilla Sridhar Babu and Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, explained the state’s major infrastructure initiatives such as road development, metro rail expansion, and the rejuvenation of rivers, lakes and water bodies. They also outlined plans for new economic zones, the development of a new city and the establishment of a new manufacturing zone to position Telangana as a strong China plus one alternative.
Emphasising Telangana’s strong investment potential, the delegation sought support from global companies in technology, knowledge, experience and expertise. The Chief Minister informed the gathering that Hyderabad has emerged as a global hub for Global Capability Centres and is being developed as India’s first city to operate round the clock, with special focus on the night time economy along both sides of the River Musi.
He also spoke about Bharat Future City, describing it as a completely smart and future ready city spread across more than 30,000 acres, with over 50 percent of the area reserved for green cover. He said the project would be India’s answer to the best planned cities in the world.
Adding star appeal to the high profile dinner event, Indian film megastar Chiranjeevi was also present, drawing significant attention from international delegates.
