Under the resonant theme “Bharatiya Bhakti, Hamburg ki Dharti, Ganpati Bappa Sabki Shakti”, the festival promises to be a spectacular fusion of devotion, art, sport, and cultural pride, drawing thousands from across Germany and the continent.
Now entering its 18th glorious year, the Ganesh Festival 2025 promises to be bigger, brighter, and more spiritually uplifting than ever before. Hosted in the heart of Hamburg, this celebration is a powerful symbol of unity, devotion, and Indian identity on a global stage.
With a perfect blend of spiritual rituals, cultural showcases, and community activities, this multi-day event is your chance to immerse yourself in the divine presence of Lord Ganesha, celebrate Indian heritage, and create unforgettable memories.

🎨 Arts & Sports Day – “Create, Connect, Celebrate”

📍 Venue: Sporthalle Kerschensteinerstraße, 21073 Hamburg
- Eco-friendly Ganesh idol making workshops (materials provided)
- Indoor Indian sports & traditional games for all ages
- Group activities & creativity sessions to spark joy and connection
Families will relive childhood memories while fostering new friendships, all in the spirit of unity and eco-conscious celebration.
🕉️ Ganapati Pratisthapana & Rituals
📅 Date: Saturday, 6 September 2025
🕔 Time: 05:30 – 09:00 hrs
📍 Venue: Hindu Temple, Billstraße 77, Hamburg
A full morning of sacred rituals including:
- Suprabhātam, Homams, and Prathama Pūja
- Abhiṣhekam and Mruthika Bimbam Pratiṣṭhāpana
- Alankaram and Dwitiya Pūja
Join hundreds of devotees in invoking blessings, peace, and prosperity.
🌸 Ganesha Lakṣhārchanā
📅 Date: Saturday, 6 September 2025
🕘 Time: 09:00 – 12:15 hrs
📍 Venue: Hindu Temple, Billstraße 77
- Lakṣhārchanā performed in three family batches
- Traditional attire & floral offerings encouraged
- Culminates in Maha Nivedanam and Manthra Pushpam
An opportunity for families to offer heartfelt prayers and connect deeply with Ganpati Bappa’s blessings.
🎶 Ganesha Pālakī Utsav & Evening Aarti
📅 Date: Saturday, 6 September 2025
🕓 Time: 16:00 – 21:00 hrs
📍 Venue: Hamburg Rathaus
- Palki procession through central Hamburg
- Folk dances including Lazim, Dandiya, Kollatam
- Aarti and Prasadam served from 19:30 hrs
